Fire Risk Assessments

Ready to make a difference

What does it involve?

As part of our fire safety review service, a fire assessor will visit your premises, carrying out a full visual inspection, to identify any potential fire-related risks. They will take photographs, inspect fire safety records for the premises and undertake discussions with management regarding all areas of concern. Their assessment will include a full written report of the fire safety inspection and a summary, along with a fire safety checklist, supporting documentation and a prioritised remedial action plan.

The assessment will examine and detail:

  • Deficiencies in the existing fire management at the premises
  • Fire alarm/detection systems
  • Fire hazards/risks and fire prevention
  • Fire safety signage
  • Fire safety training and drills
  • Firefighting equipment (fire extinguishers, sprinklers, hose reels)
  • Means of emergency and escape lighting
  • Method of evacuation and Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)
  • Occupation of the premises and persons at risk
  • Property age, condition and compartmentation

Cost: Price on application.

Why have it?

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the responsible person must ensure that a fire safety risk assessment is carried out. This applies to almost all premises and covers nearly every type of building, structure and open space. It does not apply to people’s private homes, including individual flats in a block or house.

Fire safety assessments will reduce risks and help keep employees, customers and others at the property safe, whilst protecting the business.

Who’s it for?

Our fire risk assessment service is suited to any industry or premises, large or small, where a fire risk assessment is required.
