Bali Volcano eruption disrupts travel plans

Mount Agung, a volcano in Bali has erupted for a second time, sending volcanic ash and steam 6,000 metres into the air. This has led to over 120,000 travellers being stranded.

As a popular tourist destination, this may continue to affect many holiday plans, particularly if it causes a disruption similar to the eruption of Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull in 2010.

We would like to make our clients aware that Lark will continue to monitor the activity of the Mount Agung Volcano and how it could affect you, our clients.

If you have any concerns about your travel plans, we recommend speaking to your travel carrier/provider first for advice and guidance.

However, if you have a travel insurance policy with us and have any further concerns please do contact your dedicated account handler, who will discuss any issues with your Insurer.

As Insurers will have varied stances with regards to your cover. Please speak to your account handler, who will advise you accordingly
