Aston Lark Shortlisted For British Insurance Awards

Aston Lark are delighted to have been shortlisted for the British Insurance Awards for both the Commercial Lines Broker of the Year (SME / Mid Corporate Category) and Transformational Deal of the Year.

The Commercial Lines award entry focused on our approach around client care and attention to detail, with an emphasis on understanding the risks that our clients face in their business. Having a detailed understanding of specific business sectors and creating appropriate products is a fundamental part of this process, and this also includes the promotion of relevant additional products such as protection for cyber risks.

The Transformational Deal of the Year entry covered the detail of the merger of Aston Scott and Lark which completed back in September 2017. The deal created a business employing over 600 people across 18 offices in the UK, looking after the interests of 97,000 clients and extended the range of specialist products and services available. We believe that we have already demonstrated the value that the deal will bring to our clients through this broader range of products, and to the Aston Lark staff through greater career opportunities and the continued focus on qualifications and professionalism.

Peter Blanc, Group CEO of Aston Lark, said ‘Being shortlisted for these two awards is great news for our business, and testament to the way that our people have responded to the opportunities presented by the merger last year. The highest standard of client care delivered in a personal way is what we strive for, and so to be shortlisted for the Commercial Broker category is very gratifying’.

The British Insurance Awards are organised by Insurance Post and recognise excellence in the insurance sector. There are 25 award categories covering all areas of insurance, and they are the largest awards of their type in the UK. The award winners are announced at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 4th July.
