Aston Lark has signed up to support the Insurance Day of Giving again this year to fundraise for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The event, taking place this year on Thursday 7th November, sees insurers, brokers and key partners come together to take on the 21st century’s biggest killer – dementia.
Almost half of the 300,000 people working in the UK insurance sector will be affected by dementia either directly or through a loved one. With no cure and limited treatments, we aim to give people hope for the future by funding more research into the care, cure, cause, and prevention of dementia. The Insurance Day of Giving is a unique campaign unites the insurance sector to change the future of dementia.
"We are proud to stand with our colleagues in insurance to support this important work."
There will be fundraising activities taking place across Aston Lark’s 27 offices, including a dress down and bake sales.
Aston Lark Executive Director, and head of our charity committee, David Foster, says: “We are delighted to be able to support this fabulous initiative again, and it’s great to see our industry getting together to support a really worthy cause.
“Most people, including many of our staff, know someone who has suffered or is suffering from Alzheimer’s or Dementia. Alzheimer’s charities are still underfunded compared to other health related charities, and we are proud to stand with our colleagues in insurance to support this important work.”
The event aims to raise £100,000. Click here to donate.
