Lark Music actively supports a number of musical entities and charities and believes in giving back to the community from which we make our living. Here are just some of our musical arts and creative partnerships:
Founded in 1968, the London Sinfonietta is one of the finest contemporary music ensembles with a reputation built on cutting-edge programming and virtuosic performances.
Lark Music has been the sponsor of the London Sinfonietta’s World Premiere Wednesday breakfast concert series since 2015. Every other month, we hold a breakfast concert at an exclusive London location and showcase a short new piece of music by a contemporary composer. The Lark Music commissioned piece ‘Inside Colour’, composed by Deborah Pritchard, was a winner at the prestigious British Composer Awards. You can listen to an extract of Inside Colour here.
If you would like to attend a breakfast concert with the LS, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

London Sinfonietta principal double bassist Enno Senft insures his instruments with Lark Music “through recommendation and because of their support of the musical arts, in particular the London Sinfonietta”.
The Yehudi Menuhin School
The celebrated violinist Yehudi Menuhin founded the school in 1963 to provide a place for musically gifted children from around the world to develop their talents. More than 90% of students require some level of financial support to attend the school, and it was Menuhin’s vision that no pupil should ever turn down a place due to lack of finances.
Lark Music have provided a music bursary for the school since 2019. Alumni include Lark Music friends Nicola Benedetti, Tasmin Little and Chloe Hanslip.

Royal College of Music
Founded in 1882, the Royal College of Music is one of the great conservatoires, training gifted musicians from all over the world for international careers as performers, conductors and composers. Lark Music has supported the Royal College of Music since 2012 and currently funds two scholarships.
Lark Music helped our first scholar, Joe Devalle, to secure a “Good” violin with the help of Nigel Brown of the Stradivari Trust.
Lark Music co-hosts a concert with the RCM in the Parry Rooms twice a year, featuring performances by their scholars for a select group of clients and contacts.

Music at HM Prison Warren Hill
For the last two years we have worked with our friends at Snape Maltings, the organisation behind the Aldeburgh Festival, and provided financial support for their ground-breaking work at Warren Hill Prison.
We believe in the power of music to rehabilitate and help people re-engage with society. Read Lark Music Client Director Julie Webb’s article about her visit to Warren Hill Prison.
Worshipful Company of Musicians
Founded in 1500, the Musicians Company is the only City Livery Company dedicated to the performing arts. Like Lark Music, they work with conservatoires and music schools to help musicians achieve their potential, and as a City of London based broker, we are proud to be a corporate member. The Musicians Company helps develop talent through a combination of outreach work, events and awards. Many of the award winners go on to become Yeoman of the Company, a position that involves them in supporting the Company’s activity through its outreach work. The Company points out that in 2018, their Yeoman Young Artists made 166 visits to 46 schools reaching almost 8,500 children.

Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM)
The ISM was founded in 1882 and is the UK’s professional body for musicians, and a nationally recognised Subject Association for Music (‘Subject Associations’ are membership organisations whose members are subject experts). The ISM supports almost 10,000 members across the UK and Ireland, providing legal advice, discounted insurance for musical instruments and home insurance via Lark Music, and other specialist services. Recently they have lobbied hard to ensure that musicians have freedom of movement across Europe post Brexit, work that is ongoing.
The ISM are good friends of Lark Music and work tirelessly to represent musicians’ rights, music education and the profession as a whole. To learn more, visit www.ism.org.
